Based on the day we spent on this island during our trip to Crocia and Bosnia, we have made this list with the 5 most beautiful places to visit on the island of Brac. Let’s start!

This beach, known as the Golden Horn, is a spit of white stones that juts out into the turquoise waters of the Adriatic Sea, which changes shape due to the force of the tides and the wind. Despite the wind, it is a perfect beach to spend the early hours of the morning, until it begins to fill up with tourists, and have a drink in one of its beach bars.

How to get to Brac

The only way to get to the island of Brac, one of the most beautiful islands to see in Croatia, is by taking one of the Jadrolinija company boats that leave daily from the docks of the Split port or by booking a boat excursion. In our case, we chose to book a ferry in advance through this page to ensure a place for us and our car, since in high season (July and August) they can be sold out. We also recommend arriving one hour before the ferry entrance if you are traveling in high season because there are long queues and you could lose your car space, if it is full, and have to wait for the next boat. The journey from Split to Supetar is about 50 minutes and the ferries usually leave every two hours, although they are more frequent in high season.

Another more comfortable option is to book this excursion to the islands of Brac and Solta by boat that includes food.

Where to sleep in Brac

If you are going to spend the night on the island of Brac, we recommend you book in advance, especially in high season, in the towns of Bol and Supetar, or if you want more tranquility, in Sumartin. In Bol you have several accommodations with a magnificent quality/price ratio such as the Hotel Villa Daniela or the Hotel Kastil. If you prefer to be close to the ferry port, you can opt for the city of Supetar, which has a wide gastronomic and hotel offer with magnificent accommodations such as the Villa Midea or the Derado Apartments, the latter located near the beach. If you prefer less tourism and more affordable prices, you can book at the Villa Adagio Apartments or at the Apartman Vrsalović, both located in the town of Sumartin.
