Today we can rest a little more, but for that very reason, we get up early, to be able to see the sunrise and have breakfast on time. We have agreed at 10 in the morning that the taxi will come to look for us to explore the beaches to see in Zanzibar. We had fresh fruit, toast, juice and coffee for breakfast. The food is very good and abundant, the truth is that we cannot complain!! The rest of the group leaves before the excursion they have hired and while we take the opportunity to read the newspapers a little on the Internet.

At a few minutes less than 10 our taxi arrives and Gemma, from the Karamba Resort, gives him instructions on where to stop us and the hours he has to leave us to enjoy each beach in Zanzibar .

In about 15 minutes, we arrive at the first beach in Zanzibar : Jambiani.

We agreed with him that we’ll be there for about 2 hours and then we’ll go looking for him about 2 kilometers down the beach (that’s the distance we thought…in the end it turned out that for them 2 km…it’s more than 5. The view from this Zanzibar beach is impressive , the tide has not yet gone out and we have an immense strip of sand surrounded by turquoise water.

So we set off to explore the spit of sand, without stopping to take photos.

After a while we decided to rest for a while and lie down in the sun.

In the area we only see one more tourist, so we have the beaches of Zanzibar to ourselves.

In this area, with the tide as it is now, you can’t swim, just to get wet up to your knees, you have to walk about 300 meters. But the landscape is impressive, so the least we care about is that, although with the heat that’s starting to get, it wouldn’t be bad to be able to take a dip.

Almost without realizing it, we see that more than an hour and a half has passed, so we set out to find the taxi, so that it can take us to the next beach in Zanzibar .

We are walking along the shore of the beach, admiring the landscape. The tide is going out and we start to see the boats that stay in the sand, giving the beach a spectacular view.

We continue walking and we still do not see the hotel where we have stayed. We stop a couple of times to ask and they tell us that it’s about a 10-minute walk straight ahead, but we keep walking and nothing.

At the end, a boy who is walking along the beach accompanies us, while we chat a little about Zanzibar and Spain. In the end we arrived at the hotel and found the taxi driver, we calculate that we have walked about 5 kilometers or so and we are already red as shrimp from the walk under the sun.

From here we go to Page, where we will eat at an Italian restaurant that Gemma has recommended to us and it takes us about 10 minutes to get there. To get to the beaches, we crossed the little towns and we wanted to go down and take a walk, but today we have a fairly full day and we already have the idea of visiting the beaches. We found the restaurant as soon as we arrived and we decided to stop to eat, we ordered some starters and a couple of pasta dishes. And “pole, pole” they serve us. It took us more than 3 hours to eat and leave the restaurant. But we eat very well and for a fairly reasonable price, so we won’t complain too much. After coffee we go for a walk on the Page beach, but the tide is already very low and we sit on one of the loungers to rest for a while. We are little more than half an hour digesting and we are going to look for the taxi again, to go to the last beach. It’s 4 in the afternoon and the truth is that we’re already a bit tired of the sun, but we decided to go, even if it’s just for a while. In another 15 minutes we reach the last beach and there we are walking for about 20 minutes. We stand in the shade of a palm tree and watch people walk along the beach with their bikes, motorbikes…Just seeing these scenes is worth having come this far.

After being covered in sand and quite burned (despite the 50 protection), we decided that it is time to return to the hotel in Zanzibar . In less than half an hour we are back at the hotel and we go straight to take a shower and to the pool. We had a drink and spent the rest of the afternoon in total relaxation taking advantage of the hotel facilities. We also took the opportunity to see a spectacular sunset and take photos of the hotel area in Tanzania. Around 8 in the evening we have dinner and as we do every day, before going to sleep, we have a drink and we go to see our little piece of the starry sky… Tomorrow will be our last full day at the Karamba Resort and we have all day to enjoy it. We have decided that we will spend the day here and we will approach, when the tide goes out, to a nearby beach, which is about 2 kilometers away.
