With pleasant temperatures and less crowds, the period from the end of summer to the start of autumn is one of the best times to enjoy the Andalusian coast.
September has become -especially for families without children, couples and singles- a highly demanded month for holidays. The good weather generally lasts in the Andalusian community until well into October with high but pleasant temperatures -around 30 degrees and far from the more than 40 that are reached in July or August-, with the “guarantee” of the so-called “Summer of San Miguel”or “of the quince”. Thus, the beach offer in Andalusia continues to rise but without the hassles of peak influx in the summer months. In addition, with inflation in two digits, the pleasant temperatures add savings in the prices of hotel reservations, as it is not in the middle of the coastal high season.
Huelva
The longest beach in Spain is in Huelva, in the Doñana Park, with 28 kilometers in length. For nature lovers, Rompeculos is recommended, between Mazagón and Cámping Doñana. It can be reached from Huelva or from Seville by the A-494. You can also go on foot or along the bike path that runs from Mazagón to Matalascañas. After crossing a wooden walkway, between rosemary and brambles and pines, you reach the Atlantic waters. This beach is also known for its nudist nature, although there are many bathers with clothes who choose this enclave as it is further away from the urbanizations and has less influx of public. Its name comes from the 19th century and refers to an irregular riverbed that broke through the dunes, opening the way to the beach.
